Cavities don’t happen overnight and regular visits can stall and reverse decay progression. You can prevent cavities in children by encouraging good oral habits from the time they’re little. Our family dentists fill cavities as soon as we detect them to prevent the need for more extensive services like root canals and dental implants. Composite fillings are a natural-looking alternative to traditional amalgam fillings that restore strength and aesthetics after decay is removed.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions are one of the most common types of oral surgery procedures offered in family dentistry. This is done if a tooth is beyond repair and in preparation for full mouth implants. During this procedure, we gently pull your tooth, being careful not to disturb healthy bone or gum tissue. We also provide more complex wisdom tooth removal (third molar) extraction in teens and adults.

Occlusal Adjustment

Sometimes, tiny interferences prevent your teeth from coming together properly (called malocclusion) and this impacts your bite. This can happen when teeth develop, after an injury, or develop over time due to wear. Fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions can also cause this issue. We use special articulating paper that you bite down on that shows us what areas need to be carefully shaped and filed to resolve the problem.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

If your tooth has undergone root canal therapy, is misshapen, or missing altogether, we create natural-looking crowns or bridges with in-house CEREC technology. This innovative technology offers ultimate convenience and high-quality same-day restorations that blend in perfectly with healthy teeth in color and structure.

Full and Partial Dentures

Technology has improved in recent years, making dentures more comfortable and natural looking than in the past. Full dentures are a viable tooth replacement option if all or most of your teeth are missing. When remaining teeth are extracted, gums need to heal for 8-12 weeks prior to getting your dentures. Partial dentures are a good solution for replacing a few missing teeth. A partial denture is held in place by a plastic base the same color as your gums with a metal framework to secure the base and prevent it from falling out.

Orthodontics

If you have mild to moderate sleep apnea, we can create a custom-made mouth guard to fit the shape of your teeth and mouth to help alleviate the problem. This type of oral device can also help prevent snoring. Likewise, if you’re suffering from painful temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), a mouth guard may provide relief. This is custom made based on your symptoms and contributing causes (e.g. teeth clenching) to help alleviate associated pain.
